cathrineCathrine’s background is diverse and she draws from her experience as a champion kick-boxer, restaurant owner, clothing designer, marketing director, illustrator, athlete and mother. As marketing director for Enhanced Learning & Integration Inc for 13 years, she managed every aspect of marketing, promotion, product design, seminar development and international tour production. Cathrine was instrumental in the success of international bestseller, Making the Brain/Body Connection. She edited & illustrated the book, planned and executed 2 successful international media/seminar tours, produced and directed a video and negotiated the book’s translations into eleven foreign languages.

Being a professional fighter gave her insights and experiences that she applies directly to the corporate world. Cathrine’s inspiring presence and “you can do it” attitude helps her clients face their marketing challenges with clarity and enthusiasm. She is a retired WKA and WKC champion kick-boxer, an award winning CTM toastmaster and 2X Junior Olympic Judo Champion.

She received the J.H. Moore Award for excellence in sports, and was honored with the YWCA’s Tribute to Women Award. Her business, KickStart Communications received the SBoT New Entrepreneur Award and the SDIS Cultural Diversity Award for helping immigrant businesses express their brand in the Canadian marketplace without losing their uniqueness.

Cathrine believes in giving back to the community and as Charter President of her local Rotary club, she mentors and encourages members to seek ways to be of service to others, be it in their own backyard or around the world.

Her dedication to the martial arts has earned her the ranking of 4th degree black belt in karate and blue belt in Judo. Cathrine has appeared as a guest expert on BCTV News and Calgary’s Breakfast TV.
